Revolution Honda Civic FN2 Type R System. Power Has Never Sounded So Good
->
Tuning supremos, Revolution Motorstore has released details of their latest exhaust system for the UK’s best selling hot hatch, the FN2 Honda Civic Type R.
The new system was developed in close partnership with Revolution’s technical partners, Scorpion Exhausts, who undertook extensive gas-flow analysis and dyno testing, in conjunction with acoustic metering to ensure the perfect juxtaposition of power gain, torque increase and engine note.
Constructed in flawless T304 aircraft grade stainless steel, the Revolution system fits directly to the factory catalyst and down pipe, leaving them firmly in place to avoid future warranty headaches or emissions issues. Cleverly, the tailpipes fit neatly into the trademark factory triangular exhaust apertures, leaving the rear of the Honda looking factory fresh – until you start it up, that is! Having gained two independent dyno figures, power gains of up to 10 -15% can be expected.
With a purposeful note, the new exhaust strikes the right sporting tone, without excessive cabin noise. Crucially for this market place, the noise level was designed to fall under the scrutineer’s radar at practically all of the commercial UK track day events.
Priced at just £479.00 including VAT, Revolution are running a promotion during March for the first ten applicants to either receive a 10% discount when buying online or free fitting at their plush Gateshead HQ.

If you’re thinking the system looks familiar, you’d be right. Scorpion originally designed the box for the limited edition of 800 Prodrive-tuned PZ cars. So if it’s good enough for both them and Mazda, you can imagine that the design has undergone some comprehensive testing and evaluation before being approved. Whilst the PZ became a rare and instant classic, you can at least now create the sound and performance on any RX8 with this new system.
