Getting a nice new set of alloy wheels for your new motor, is a great way to make it stand out. But making a mistake when buying your wheels is common, and as the wheels and tyres make up part of the braking system – making a mistake with the size or fitment of your wheels, or the type/rotation of your new tyres could put your life, and the lives of your passengers at risk.

The Internet may of made things easier when doing your research and finding out about the different styles and makes of alloy wheel, but the internet doesn’t know everything, and choosing wheels for the wrong model, or the wrong year car are both common mistakes people make when buying online.

We advise the best way around this is to only deal with someone with a phone number that you can call and ask questions.

Make sure you have done your homework, and you know exactly what you need before picking up the phone – as a lot of the time the mistakes are in fact made by you and I! There are many alloy wheel guides on the internet, but many of them are misleading and could in fact be incorrect – so always get a professionals opinion!
